Easily find and cut Switch Box Holes without measuring

The Switch Saw system is a world first.

Proudly designed and manufactured in New Zealand.

It is a two part system for marking, without measuring, and cutting out switch boxes in plasterboard.

The first part of the system, Switch Mark, uses targets and a locator, which contain very powerful neodymium magnets to locate the switch box after the plasterboard has gone up.

Switch Saw, the second part of the system, cuts perfectly sized switch box holes in plasterboard every time. Powered by a battery drill, Switch Saw uses eight reciprocating blades to cut through standard plaster board in nine seconds and 12 seconds for reinforced Brace Line.

Switch Mark – Makes finding switch boxes easy

Switch Mark is a marking system that uses the power of neodymium magnets to locate switch boxes after the plasterboard has been fixed.

First place the target into the switch box, then fix the wallboard, use the locator to "search around" for the target, when the locator snaps into place, check that its level and draw around it. Finally, use Switch Saw to cut the switch box hole.

Six Steps to Perfection

  • Mark the general location of the switch box on an adjacent surface
  • Place ‘target’ in the Switch Box
  • Fix the plasterboard
  • Hold the ‘Locator’ 3-4mm above the plasterboard and move around until you feel the pull of the target, Let the locator go and it will snap into position directly above the target. Draw around the locator.
  • Using the Switch Saw cut out the switch box
  • To complete, remove the target
